Sony has affirmed that PlayStation 4 has sold over 20.2 million units globally as of March 1.
Sony’s new games console has been selling fairly nicely, since exploding onto the scene in November 2013. Despite lacking exclusive software and a few PSN hiccups, the machine continues to hold sway in the games console market. Said International CEO Andrew House and SCEI President:
“We are so grateful for the enormous support from PlayStation® fans worldwide, and we are truly humbled that gamers around the globe have continued to select PS4 as the best place to play. We remain steadfast in our commitment to deliver unique and interactive entertainment experiences powered by the network and the PS4 system’s deep social capabilities.”
Sony upcoming games like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Batman: Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, No Man’s Sky, Until Dawn, and Tearaway were mentioned again in the press release.
Yes, there are bright times ahead …For Sony and all gamers.
